Spotify Worship Song Playlist

Hello Congregation,

As we take a break from church due to the social distancing as a result of the Covid-19 virus, the Pastors and Elders wanted to continue to provide opportunities to worship in as many different ways as possible. One way our church worships is through music. We have worked with the band ministry to share a playlist of worship songs so that we can still continue to worship God through music. We hope that God will speak to you through this format.

Pastors and Elders of CTBC

CTBC & CTX Worship Service Cancelled 3/8 & 3/15

Dear Congregation,

16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,  17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,  - Eph 3:16-17 (ESV)

I write to you out of a spirit of care and concern.  May God’s spirit of peace be with you.

As you may have heard earlier this week, Cornerstone Trinity has been monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 and its spread in the Bay Area.  We have been advising our church members to remember the safe practices of washing hands, remaining home when sick, and covering coughs and sneezes.

In light of the city of San Francisco Public Health Department’s recommendation to cancel non-essential community gatherings for two weeks, and in light of the information we have regarding the spread of COVID-19, the Pastors, Board of Elders and Directors have made a collective decision to cancel all church events (fellowships, Sunday school classes, worship services, ministry gatherings, etc.) at Cornerstone Trinity campuses beginning tomorrow, Sunday March 8th through Sunday, March 15th.

We decided this to protect our congregation, our surrounding vulnerable populations, and our loved ones.  We also value being good citizens and want to model care for our neighbor not only within our church but to society at large.

More information will follow regarding access to sermons, various ministries meetings and logistics, and future decisions.  If you have any questions or concerns, you can reach us at (415) 566-5756 or by email at info@cornerstonetrinity.org.

We will continue to pray for our society and those affected by COVID-19.  Finally, we appreciate your patience and care and look forward to our time together in the future.

Sincerely,

Rev. Kevin Wong

Interim Senior Pastor

IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONARY SAFETY MEASURES- COVID-19

Dear Congregation,
We want to care for our congregation in all respects, including the physical well-being of our communities. We would like to keep the church family safe by taking some precautionary measures to keep yourself and others safe, especially in light of recent developments with the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Please be mindful of the guidance from the California Department of Health and the CDC, including:

· Stay home when you are sick or even a slight cough.

· Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

· Cover your cough or sneeze

· Get your flu shot to protest against flu or symptoms similar to the novel coronavirus.

· Avoiding touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

· While asymptomatic travelers from China are not mandated to observe a 14-day quarantine, we urge you to consider refraining from attending church events, fellowships and services until the 14-day time-frame has been observed. We also ask that anyone returning from a high-alert area (currently South Korea, Iran, Italy, Japan) consider doing the same. While you are out, you can access the sermons by Monday afternoon each week at www.cornerstonetrinity.org/sermons

Some precautionary measures we have in place, we will not be passing the tithe offering baskets around. We will have the ushers at the door with the bags at the end of service or you can put it in the drop box across from the hostessing table, communion will be in front for you to pick up.

Also if you have responsibilities on any given day and are not well, do not worry, we will cover you. Stay home and get better. Just let us know.

We have 3 stationary hand sanitizers located by the lights in the sanctuary foyer, by the kitchen in the fellowship hall, and by the door outside children’s hall. Lysol wipes are available to wipe down furniture in the fellowship hall, children area and sanctuary.

At CTX: Hand Sanitizer by the refreshment table.

The uncertainty of this outbreak is creating anxiety in our workplaces, schools, and day-to-day activities. Yet we remain certain of God’s steadfast presence and careful attention to all that is happening. Please join us in praying for those who are affected by this illness, and those who are working around the clock to minimize the impact of this virus.

Sincerely,

Rev. Kevin Wong, Pastor Clifton Jang & Jennifer Okano
